We have a new puppy!

The title to this blog is proof that God works in mysterious ways. As I stated in my last post, Josh and Shelly got a new Puggle puppy named Tico last week. Well, because of Jay and I's financial situation we told the kids we'd have to hold off getting a dog until Christmas. (They were actually taking it quite well.) A core team member from our church also bought one of the other pups from the same litter as Shelly's. He took Jason out for breakfast yesterday and said he was going to have to pay an astronomical sum of money to keep the puppy in his apartment complex and would we like it? What?? Huh?? You heard me right! 20 minutes later we had an adorable Puggle puppy named Piper (after John Piper.....). He is absolutely the cutest thing. The kids love him and he is great with them. God is good!
I have also posted some pictures of our new deck and sliders that I promised like a month ago! So many people have helped us and I thank you all. It is truly an oasis of peace! Jason and I are spending countless hours in our Adirondack chairs and the kids love eating at the table. Also note the chiminea (sp?). My dad found it at a campsite with a free sign and spruced it up for us. (Don't ya just love Dutch people? I sure do...) Lastly, we will be out of town much of next week camping in my parents trailer at Grand Haven State Park (another surprise blessing!). We will also be in Dearborn next weekend at A Walk to Remember for our little Ava. Please keep our entire family in your prayers next Saturday!

I want the view from INSIDE the dining room so I can see waht the new slider looks like from there and I want the view of the WHOLE yard from the deck so I can see your Lilacs, etc and the whole fence! EVERYTHING that you posted( which was NOT enough) is gorgeous! Absolutely! The deck is WAY huger than I pictured! It's beautimus:) Give me more more more! I am totally in agreement with you on the "God is good" statement. So cool that he gives us not only our needs but very often our wants too.

What a cute puppy! I have vowed to never own a dog; however with the kids and Jim, it may happen someday...I think I am outnumbered.

Oh, and the deck looks fabulous - what a perfect place to relax.

What an adorable puppy! The boys look absolutely thrilled! Your backyard is so beautiful, and I'm thankful that you have a place to rest and enjoy the outdoors! I don't 'know what we'd do without our adirondack chairs!

We continue to pray for your family, that God would bless you for your obedience and that you will continue to have peace of heart while you wait for a full-time job for Jason ... Psalm 40 is a chapter that I read often, especially in times we're waiting and praying that the Lord with in a situation.

Oh my word Holly. Cute does not do that dog justice. I noticed the pug in him right away because of our little Maestro (pug-chihuahua). Don't groan people he's absolutely adorable too. Good luck with the temperament...let's hope he gets the best traits in both breeds. Instead of stubborn pugness and barky beagleness!

Ok, Holly - I just wanted to let you know that Piper is cute! And, NO, I did not get the carpets cleaned because of his pee and poo poo :) I happened to be having the air ducts cleaned and while they were coming, I asked if they would just work on those two little spots for me... plus Jonah's little "spot" too :) It was great seeing all of you and what an awesome service Jason had!
